Map
From Valencia Airport (VLC)
VLC is an international airport that is small but nice.
- Car: Use above map for directions, it takes about 50 minutes from VLC to Benicàssim.
- Taxi: We have used the taxi company Zonetransfers, and they wait if your plane is delayed. We also had to cancel a trip once, and they returned the money without any hassle. We do not get commission from them, we were simply customers. There are many other companies to choose from, so check prices. For comparison, we payed about €90 one way for one full car with four passengers, but that was off season in 2022, and prices go up and tend to vary a lot throughout the year. Pro tip is to pre-book a return trip also.
- Train: Takes longer but is a little cheaper if you need transportation for one or two. Take the metro straight from VLC to the Xàtiva metro station. This takes you right to the center of Valencia, and this is also where the train station is. From here, there are trains to Castellón. Prices vary a lot depending on if the train is a high-speed one or if it is a slower local train. You can buy tickets in ticket machines right in the entrance, but we find it easier to get them at the ticket booth. Some of these Castellón trains - not all - continue to Benicàssim, but the far easiest and most convenient way to get to EPIS is to get off at Castellón and to take a taxi from there to EPIS (about €20 Castellón to EPIS).
From Barcelona Airport (BCN)
BCN is a very big and nice international airport.
- Car: Use above map for directions. It takes about 3 hours from BCN to Benicàssim on AP-7. Roads are usually very nice, but you have to put up with some tolls along the way. Overall very convenient option to get a rental car at BCN. Pro tip is to avoid heading into Barcelona if you are not too keen on being stuck in traffic jams.
- Taxi: We have used the taxi company Zonetransfers before, but we don't have any experience with taking a taxi all the way from BCN to EPIS. It is possible, though, and some Googling suggests that it costs about €400. Do check prices and pre-book a taxi if you go for that option.
- Train: Train information from BCN can be found here. There are several train station in Barcelona, and you want to go from BCN to Barcelona Sants. From there, you will find trains to Castellón. Some of these trains do make a stop in Benicàssim, but the far easiest and most convenient way to get to EPIS is to get off at Castellón and to take a taxi from there to EPIS (about €20 Castellón to EPIS).
From Castellón Costa Azahar Airport (CDT)
CDT is a very small airport that is primarily used by Ryanair and Wizz Air.
We never flew to CDT ourselves, so we don't have any first hand information for you, but we found some info online at least.
- Car: Use above map for directions. It takes about 35 minutes from CDT to Benicàssim. If you get car sick easily, drive slowly.
- Taxi: There are lots of shuttle services online. Checking prices and pre-booking with Zonetransfers is an option.
- Bus: Also available but not a great option. A bus every 4 hours from CDT to Torreblanca. Then train from there to Castellón or Benicàssim. Check details here.
- Train: No trains directly from CDT.
